Manafort Brothers, Inc. completed the demolition and environmental remediation of several existing structures at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey, in support of a broader campus redevelopment effort, including the new Administrative and Clinical Facility building known as the ADMB.

The work involved the demolition of multiple buildings, the removal and disposal of asbestos-containing roofing materials, and the remediation of PCB-impacted concrete in accordance with all regulatory requirements. The project also required the hand separation of an occupied or preserved structure from an adjacent building scheduled for demolition, maintaining protection of active facilities throughout the process.

After completing above-grade demolition, Manafort removed and disposed of the existing foundations to prepare the site for future construction.

Through detailed planning and controlled operations, Manafort delivered a safe, compliant, and ready-to-build site for Rutgers University’s ongoing campus expansion.
