Our specialized expertise and creative approach to even the most challenging projects has led to further expansion into nuclear decommissioning. Manafort has been contracted in the effort to decommission 3 of the 13 reactors in the United States currently in this final nuclear lifecycle phase. Our extensive experience in the areas of structure abatement, implosion, demolition, and remediation has supported our successful planning and performance of these highly technical and specialized projects.

We perform much of the work in the final phases of this process: utility dismantling and removal, fuel storage dismantling, demolition of reactor and pump buildings, boilers, control structures, and removal of low-level contaminated materials to appropriate disposal facilities or consolidated storage. We take pride in delivering the exact results required from a specialty contractor in this market.
