Manafort Receives the Project Achievement Award from the CMAA CT

Manafort received the Project Achievement Award- Infrastructure Under $25M.

This project involved the replacement of a 96” C.M. Pipe with a 14’x11’precast box culvert 25 feet beneath I-84WB. Beneath I-84EB, an existing concrete box culvert was lined with a metal arch pipe and also extended 48LF using a 14’x11’ precast box culvert. Extensive earth support was required and 35T Precast sections were installed using a 250T Hyd. Crawler Crane adjacent to the proposed culvert.

Manafort’s ability to identify engineering and schedule solutions, coupled with our deep bench of dedicated construction professionals, resulted in an acceleration effort that achieved substantial completion 5 months ahead of schedule.

Manafort Brothers Awarded Design Build Contract to Rehabilitate I-691

Manafort Brothers has been awarded a Design Build Contract by CTDOT to Rehabilitate I-691 through the towns of Southington, Cheshire, and Meriden. As part of this rehabilitation process, Manafort is selectively replacing the underlying concrete road base. This process involves milling the existing pavement down to the underlying concrete road base to expose the failed areas. These areas are then removed and replaced including drilling and epoxying dowels into the adjacent concrete sections. Manafort uses its Zim Mixers (mobile concrete mixers) to batch and place the rapid setting concrete replacement material on a nightly basis allowing us to reopen the highway to traffic each morning.
