Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Completion of I-95 Providence Viaduct Project

January 23, 2026
Today, Manafort Brothers, Inc., in joint venture partnership, celebrated the ribbon cutting of the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) I-95 Providence Viaduct Northbound Design-Build Project in downtown Providence. As Design-Build Prime Contractor, Manafort led the full replacement of the nearly 1,300-foot-long northbound viaduct and the rehabilitation, replacement, and widening of 10 additional bridges along one of Rhode Island’s busiest interstate corridors.

The project introduced an innovative traffic configuration designed to improve safety, reduce congestion, and enhance traffic flow for more than 200,000 vehicles traveling through the interchange daily.

Utilizing accelerated bridge construction techniques and advanced engineering solutions, the team successfully delivered this complex infrastructure project safely, on schedule, and within budget — marking a major milestone in improving mobility and safety for the region.
