Project: Hartford Times Building
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Service: As part of the Adriaen’s Landing Project, Manafort Brothers, Inc. was contracted to perform selective interior and mechanical demolition of the Hartford Times Building in Hartford, CT. The building was built in the early 1900’s to house one of Hartford’s newspaper publications. In later years, the building was converted to office space and a four-story building was added to the structures East side. Manafort Brothers performed interior demolition of the historic side selectively removing all non-structural components, mechanical separation of the two structures followed by complete demolition and removal of the newer constructed building. Demolitions impact levels were seismically monitored throughout the project. Manafort Brothers performed this work below harmful vibration levels and completed the project on schedule with zero accidents or incidents.
